TOP STORIES Protest against PDD for installing HT wires in residential area in Kangan | KNO Published 164 weeks ago on March 26, 2022 By Raja Syed Rather Ganderbal, Mar 26 (KNO): Residents of Ari-Goripora New colony area of Kangan held a protest against the Power Development Department (PDD) for installing High Tension (HT) electric poles and wires in the residential neighbourhood. As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the live electric wires will pose danger to their lives. Locals said that the 11,000 KV HT wire will pass over their houses and it can cause damage to people as well as their property. They said if the PDD is determined to install the wires, it should compensate them first while requesting the higher authorities to look into the matter before going ahead with the plan.
